A collection of singles that were originally released in 2021. Each track is an exploration in synthesis, sound design, and generative composition. Most allude to the stylistic dimensions of ambient and dub techno.

The 'Down from the Cloud' series is a catalog of recordings that were initially released as singles on SoundCloud. Each volume of the series is one hour long with tracks arranged in chronological order of recording date. SoundCloud essentially serves as a staging platform for the release of new material prior to its compilation into an album.

As each single is released on SoundCloud, a description of the creative process and production technique, plus an image of essential equipment used to create the piece, are uploaded with the track. Once the upload limit of three hours has been reached, an hour's worth of the oldest material is brought 'down from the cloud', compiled into a volume, then released as an album on Bandcamp. With the release of each volume, the original track descriptions and song graphics used on SoundCloud are included as album content.

All pieces on this album were recorded as live studio improvisations to a single stereo pair with no overdubs. The 'studio' was sometimes a dedicated basement space, sometimes a back porch, sometimes a bedroom at night, and sometimes a parking lot on a lunch break. This allowed for the creative work to flow continuously in the spirit of constant exploration. The 8 tracks included here were recorded from 4/11/21 to 7/6/21. Released on the day of the Snow Moon, 2023.
