A minimalist exploration in generative music and granular synthesis. Clean melodic lines with random pitch variation and tempo-synced delay feed the live input of a granular synthesizer for the second voice.

The origin is a patch built from scratch in Drambo using a single triangle oscillator with pitch quantized to a four-note scale, triggered in random order as the sequence progresses. The degree of random variation is a performance parameter, along with the length of decay in the clean-toned voice. The second synthesizer at work is FRMS, which uses a single layer of granular synthesis for this version, without FM. FRMS is receiving live input directly from the random pitch voice.

Performed and recorded to a single stereo track from Drambo to AudioShare using only the iPad (from a back porch on a sunny day). Mastered in T-Racks.
