about

Glitchy percussion over brooding drones with random plucked string notes in C minor pentatonic. The drone, a granular synth running through one looper instance is output to a fourth below then mixed with the original source. Tempo-synced filter modulation and gating add movement to the drone. The drum beat is running through another looper instance, output to an octave above then layered back in at double time. Tempo-synced delay adds rhythmic complexity. Random notes quantized to scale and tempo play the plucked string part, which shifts octaves up and down throughout the piece. To 'nebulize' is to reduce to a fine spray or mist - as is done here with the various sound sources feeding into the system.
